After much consideration, I decided to not leave this LJ deleted. It will, however, simply remain undeleted for the purpose of being an archive for my fanfiction. For all other purposes, it is - and will remain - inactive.

I am not, nor have any plans of, returning to the Harry Potter fandom. I have moved on to other interests that I enjoy and have kept the good memories of the Harry Potter fandom in my heart. I am fortunate enough to say that any of the previous issues that occured turned out to have nothing but positive results for me and for my work. I thank everyone who supported me in the past; I will always appreciate it.

I do have another LJ for personal purposes. I realise when I deleted my journal, many people were concerned and worried for me, and I apologise extensively for that. If you would like me to add you to my personal f-list, you're more than welcome to email me at lanisfanfiction@gmail.com. However, unless I know who you are or have spoken to you in the past, I will not accept random requests to be added.

Those of you who know my fanfiction will have no doubt heard the fandom wank I've just been subject to. I am not naming names, nor am I going to say anything beyond the fact that I did not do what I was accused of. My writing experience, abilities and achievements span way beyond fandom involvement and I know what I am about to say and do is going to be with knowledge that I have done nothing wrong. I am a law student about to graduate and do my PhD and what I've been accused of just goes beyond all my moral and ethical values, so its really been nothing but a slap in the face to me in a fandom I've been a member of for sometime and have enjoyed very much, until recently. The whole issue seemed to have blown up when I wasn't online and I still do not know the whole story, nor do I need or want to.

I am leaving Harry Potter fandom. It has been a long time in coming and this recent event was just the proverbial straw. All my fics will still be left on my website http://www.lanisfanfiction.com, and on the archives Skyehawke and Forever Fandom.

To the other H/D author who got swept up in this, I apologise any of this had to happen and that so many wires seems to have been crossed.

To all my wonderful and loyal readers who have stuck by me through thick and thin, and defended me with everything I've been through, I love you all. You're amazing. If I could stay just for you and be guaranteed to not be swept up in anymore negativity, I would. But I can't. I'm moving onto newer things that are bringing me the joy HP fandom used to.

So, with that, I say a bittersweet goodbye to Harry Potter fandom, and wish you all the best. I'm going to miss you all - and our boys - dearly.

I'm going to be proceeding with my f-list cut over the next few days. I'll be paying mind to that poll I posted a few weeks ago when I swapped usernames, so don't worry if you submitted your answer there. You won't be cut.

I am currently in the midst of considering a few changes with my LJ thingies. My main reason is I don't have enough time to keep up with my f-list a lot of the time and it's really getting filled with posts from people I just don't know or who haven't ever commented in my journal. Up until now, keeping my fics AND personal-ish stuff together has worked. Now I think I need to make some changes.

I'm going to split my LJ life into two different journals. I will be changing the name of THIS journal (currently lanisfanfiction) to a personal username for myself. I am then going to change the name of a NEW journal to lanisfanfiction and that is where I will post JUST MY FANFICS (and it will compliment my website http://www.lanisfanfiction.com).

Once I do this, I will ask anyone who has only Friended me here to read my fanfics to de-Friend this journal and Friend the new lanisfanfiction journal. I will also probably have a bit of a Friends cut from THIS journal (to be my personal one) of people I have never seen post or who have never commented to my personal posts.

Please don't think for a moment I am doing this because I dislike reading people's posts. It's not that at all, and in fact, those of you I know - even slightly or just through reviews - I generally read when I can. However the posts I want to read are getting choked up in some people's personal postings that I really don't feel are any of my business because I don't know them. Because I'm also wasting a lot of time trawling through my large f-list, I don't have time enough to comment on many people's posts, when I would like to do that a bit more.

So, I just wanted to warn you all. I haven't decided for certain this is what I will be doing, but I'm strongly leaning towards it. I will give ample warning before I change anything, or course.
